When people think of Yamuna today, they see high-rises, large-scale projects and a trusted name in Mangalore's real estate. What often goes unseen is how modestly it all began. In 1993 we were not building homes at all. We were Yamuna Drilling Enterprises and Yamuna Earth Movers, digging tube wells and moving soil: demanding, straightforward work that laid the foundation of the knowledge, discipline and values that still shape us.
Those years taught us the principles we hold to now: deliver with integrity, stay transparent with clients, and never compromise on quality. That approach earned trust, and trust brought bigger responsibilities. In time, some of our clients encouraged us to try homebuilding, a bold step then, and one we took with determination.
Our first projects were small. But handing over homes to families was something else entirely. Watching people settle into spaces we had made gave us the confidence to aim higher, and Yamuna Homes and Design grew steadily into a builder that Mangalore came to recognise and rely on.
Leadership
Yamuna has flourished under Managing Director Purushotham R. Shetty. With more than two decades of experience, he has consistently pressed for innovation, sustainability and uncompromising quality, and his guidance has been central in taking the company from a drilling and earth-moving enterprise to a trusted name in real estate and construction across Karnataka.

Completed projects
Over two decades we have delivered a range of projects across Mangalore. Each one shaped our growth and refined our approach.
- Ganga Yamuna, Lower Carstreet. One of our earliest milestones. It taught us that homes are more than walls and floors; they are the foundation of family life.
- Yamuna Garden, Mannagudda. A turning point: modern living combined with open space, a balance families valued.
- Prakruthi, Yekkur. A lesson in practical layouts, and in the fact that comfort comes from homes designed for everyday living.
- Yamuna Residency, Naguri. Homes that adapt to daily life, offering both function and warmth.
- Yamuna Paradise, Kottara Chowki. Where we introduced premium features and set ourselves a higher benchmark.
- Yamuna Mathias Heights, Kapikad. A deeper understanding of contemporary urban living and what modern families want.
- Yamuna Pride, Jeppinamogaru. Built for durability and comfort, and still standing strong with residents who value it.
- Yamuna Asha City, Kulai. One of our most ambitious ventures: a 35-acre gated community of plotted sites and towers that brought scale, amenities and careful planning together, and redefined integrated living in Mangalore.
Every project was a learning experience, and every family we served shaped the standards we carry forward.
Ongoing work
Yamuna Sky City, Kulai is the most ambitious residential tower we have undertaken: 296 sea-facing apartments in 2, 3, 4 and 5 BHK layouts across 60 levels, rising inside Yamuna Asha City. It brings together spacious layouts, natural ventilation and premium finishes, with the city behind it and the Arabian Sea in front. Elsewhere in the city, Yamuna Kamaldeep Twin Tower on the Pumpwell to Nanthoor highway combines commercial and residential space on one of Mangalore's busiest corridors. Details of that project are on the Yamuna Homes and Design website.
